So Far From Home

International Premiere of “So Far From Home"
On Wednesday, September 23, CJFE will be co-presenting the premiere of director Vladimir Kabelik’s documentary, “So Far From Home.” The film offers a unique window into the challenges and dangers faced by five local reporters working in conflict regions. It documents the journalists’ experiences and their efforts to come to terms with their past and their struggle to build a future in Canada.

The film will premiere on Wednesday, September 23, at the Signy & Cléophée Eaton Theatre in the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto. Before the screening there will be a reception catered by Daniel & Daniel, and after the film there will be a panel discussion moderated by CBC Radio’s Anna Maria Tremonti. Director Vladimir Kabelik and several of the journalists featured in “So Far From Home” will be in attendance and speak about the film.
